This is nice, love the bird in flight and the reflection in the water!

My favourite (so far) - all you need now is a nice philosophical quote to go with it!

Touch ups mainly done on the dynamic range of colours.

Nice. I'd consider getting rid of the telegraph pole/power lines though. Sky colour looks a bit unnatural - again a matter of taste, but I'd have been tempted to go with a more orange colour wash across the whole image i.e. a warming filter because the sky colour doesn't reflect in the padi field. Crop in to get rid of the muddy area in the foregound.

Interesting. Like the texture on the drum. I'd go for a more abstract look by removing the trees/leaves on the right, focusing on just the drum and the sky. Sky colour is unnatural.

The usual sky is too plain; the middle part (water not the padi) of the crop does reflect the sky. The muddy part of the field is an essential part of the pic, leading to the greener young crop. The poles provide scale of distance. This pic was HDR'ed for effects, so naturalness is not the main aim.

Only 3 items in this pic. If I go for minimalism, yes, I'd go without the leaves, and in fact with a smaller portion of drum, but this isn't the case. The sky has been intentionally coloured as such to approach colour abstract, in dull mood, and opposite of realism, just as the leaves. The highlight of this pic is only the drum, standing grand amidst the "dull" objects.

Ok... interesting thoughts. For the padi field shot, I meant the colour of the sky doesn't reflect in the field, not the sky itself, which is why it looks out of sorts. Scale is already there w/o the poles - which just provide an unecessary distraction IMO. Lost me on the muddy field part - w/o the image would look cleaner and better balanced.

I think we'll beg to disagree on this. Your shots ater all :)

Thx. The photo's colors were further enhanced. Btw, you're right - I'm not from Sekinchan - was my first trip there. :)
